In 2005, the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (LAPSI) and the Southern California Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SCPSI) merged into one organization under new bylaws to form the New Center for Psychoanalysis.

Training Program in Psychoanalysis
Dedicated to the study and exploration of the entire spectrum of psychoanalytic theory and practice and to producing adult and child psychoanalysts of the first rank.

Two Year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program
Designed to enhance the knowledge and skill of mental health practitioners and clinicians from various mental health fields through an innovative course of study.

Community Foundation
Developed to bring psychoanalytic ideas into the community through educational workshops, in-service training, supervision, consultation, and direct treatment services.

Clinic
Committed to providing low fee psychoanalysis to qualified individuals.

The Center is affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic Association as well as the International Psychoanalytic Association.
